Coastal Pacific
Coastal Pacific
This service is commencing travel on 15 August 2011 and has been renamed at COASTAL PACIFIC as it was known in the late 1980's and early 1990's. This service will also take on the new purpose built scenic carriages over the summer months enhancing your comfort and scenie experience!
New fare system effective from 15 August 2011- 30 September 2012 as follows:
Tier One $59pp - non changeable, non refundable, stopovers added only at time of booking, limited availability
Tier Two $79pp - changes are charged at $20 each person per change, non refundable, stopovers may be added up to 48 hours prior to travel for $10 pp, limited availability
Tier Three $99pp - fully changeable, fully refundable, the fare includes up to two stopovers that must be booked at least 48 hours prior to travel.
Through - Fares
Allows travel on the Coastal Pacific and combines with either Interislander Ferry or Sounds Air!
Tier One $129pp - Interislander Ferry OR $149 Sounds Air - see conditions as above in Tier One!
Tier Two $149pp - Interislander Ferry OR $169 Sounds Air - see conditions as above in Tier Two!
Tier Three $169 - Interislander Ferry OR $189 Sounds Air - see conditions as above in Tier Three!

Timetable for Overlander
Peak Timetable: Operates 7 days (Monday to Sunday) from Friday 15 July 2011 to Sunday 31 July 2011 and from Friday 2 September
2011 to Sunday 29 April 2012 excluding Christmas Day.
Off Peak
Timetable: Operates 3 days a week ( Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from Friday 6
May 2011 to Sunday 10 July 2011 and from Friday 5 August 2011 to Sunday 28
August 2011.
Taihape is Back on the Map
Due to increasing numbers on the
Overlander and the potential passenger we have decided to include Taihape as a
scheduled stop. The regular northbound service will depart Taihape at 11.23am
and the southbound at 3.03pm

Overlander Bookings Suspended
Sales on Overlander services scheduled
to operate between the 26th of December 2011 and the 8th of January 2012
inclusive have been suspended whilst we evaluate the impact of proposed major
upgrades on the network during this time.
We are reviewing options to
ensure the best possible outcome for our customers.
